My name is Dawn and I have a lot of birds. Started with four coturnix eggs a couple years ago. I still have cots -- pharaohs and Italians mostly. Then came button quail and African Harlequin quail. Also Butler, Snowflake, and Mexican Speckle bobwhites, a few chukars, and two Royal Palm turkeys (Rosemary and Sage). Mo and Stoney Creek are helping me get started with Buckeye chickens.

If you guys only knew how many times something has happened to a Flock hang out...you'd be used to it by now...but you know what, through all the mishaps, all the flockers always find away and gather again...just like now. New walls, some new folks that were here for ya to meet, but everyone is finding their way. Sometimes, Karma has a way of cleaning house, which isn't always a bad thing to shake things up a bit. But the folks who are meant to continue on always find a way back together. Things typed can be lost, but the original posters still retain the info and can be put back out there...just ask the question again. Most photos were probably stored on your desk top or photobucket...just repost. Sure it will take some time, but that's half the fun. Might even look at something in a new light, be exposed to new ideas, or share something that someone might not have seen before.

This won't be exactly the same as the U, but has the shell in place to have just as much fun.

I'm just happy to find you all here. LOL! I think I caused Flock U to blow up -- I was preparing to post "Why I Raise Button Quail". The pipes in the old place couldn't take the pressure.

 

Well, new pipes here...post away! In the quail area there are two sections...old world and new world. I'd enjoy hearing about your buttons but really like to hear about the African and basics there hint-hint

Yes, I will post about the African Harlequin quail soon. Also, I've made a couple of interesting finds in the cot brooders involving Italians, Fawns, and redhead trait.
